we were still the self proclaimed biggest club in the world before fergie came.

He probably went over to Florida to re-interview for his job, its what the Yanks do when they acquire companies.

Did he £#%&!. Their financing was tied in to Fergie staying in the job. They’ve not spent a penny on the club. They remortgaged their malls to raise the initial money then financed the rest through massive leveraging, hiding the accounts in a secret-friendly US state where they don’t have to disclose much.

thats down to the manager.
even commentators are saying we don't know what to do. we get up to the final third and start crossing the ball or just passing it between us until a player who isn't good on the ball gets it and passes it backwards...

our manager should have us playing a system and looking like he half know what we are doing.

thats not the glazers fault.
absolutely spot on.

last preseason was on the phone in the lobby of the hotel saying everything is 'shit' which is was..

if ole says he is happy then we have to judge him on the squad he was happy to go into the season with.
then theres the fact why wouldn't he be happy. he is in a job he doesn't deserve, a job that's at a level he would never possibly get close to getting again.
a job he hasn't proved himself to be capable of doing .

we have a amateur at a wheel and your only kidding yourself making excuses for him.
and as the excuses keep coming...he runs out the shade you guys cover him with to be exposed even more...

-we don't beat the big teams anymore
-the high press he said he'd integrate pre season lasted 2/3 games in august
-the tactics are nowhere to be season
-the squad is not fitter that before he took over
-no one can point to anything on the footballing side that he has improved
-
last night was a new low, sadly it's gonna get even worse till he £#%&!s off

"A good manager can make the most of what he has" - so in that case, neither LvG or JM were "good managers"?

And they had BETTER PLAYERS available than is the case now.

he should have kept Lukaku for a start as he'd have scored a lot more than lazy half arsed @#%&! Martial

Of course but then surely a bit more longer term risk would have factored in for them. Surely SAF being there and keeping united up there was important at the time.

I agree... Sort of. But it's a bit revisionist, isn't it? People (rightly) complained endlessly about Lukaku the lump, the man who couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo and kept falling over the ball, but when it was briefed that Mourinho wanted to sell Martial there was an angry mob forming that was adamant that it was Mourinho who couldn't get the best out of Martial, that he was being mis-managed and that he was the future of the club.

Martial, Raahford and Greenwood have around the same goals as Salah, Firmino and Manè.

We have a lot of problems, those three are not them.

I wouldn't swap Martial for Lukaku. Nothing has changed on that front.
