Great guy, would lift the spirits immediately. That's all an interim needs to do tbh. Ole would treat it like an honour too even just temporarily whereas somebody like Blanc who has managed at a high level before might want it permanently.

I like him too much to want him to do it. If he fails at it it'll be painful

Suspect we'll find out tonight once we learn what the headlines are for tomorrow's papers

Starting Greenwood's career could be Ole's legacy

With someone like Blanc, it might be more of an audition for the real thing. If he nails it, he'll have earned the right to be considered. If he £#%&!s it, he's gone anyway.

I don't think there's any way he could be worse than the last 4 months tbf.

Ouffff

He watches mutv like a slave does Big Ole. Expect a big shakeup if he comes in. He watches all our games and will have some ideas already set.

Huge pressure on him too. Doesn't matter it's caretaker, it's six months. A lot of time to get smashed if he's not up to it.

Blanc with Evra feels more realistic.

probably the best option for half a season. but I'd be worried that he does ok enough to get the job and then reality hits us like a swift kick in the bollox next season. and hey presto we're back to another [insert name] needs to be sacked TONIGHT

Yep that’s the worry.

Would much prefer with give to someone like Butt or even Giggs tbh.

Ideally they can convince Jardim, but that’s very doubtful.

What's Ole doing currently? Went back to Molde after Cardiff didn't he?

Still there I think

Can’t imagine we’d buy him out of his contract just for a six month job tbh?

Still Molde manager, but they're in off-season until late March now.

We'd only have the same problem with Butt or Giggs.

You can't avoid hiring an interim for the fear they'll do well.

If we're spending this time getting a new full time manager, then it won't matter how well they do.

Someone to utterly brutalize the dressing room so that when the next guy comes in, who is ideally still a disciplinarian, he will have had the groundwork started for a change of mindset.

They don't like it up 'em.
