I want a laughable set of draws in our favour. The maximum amount of boiled piss. I want a cup double without playing a remotely Decent team.

I’d even happily let them engraved all the rubbish teams we beat on the way to winning it on the trophy, so they’d never forget.

I'd happily take something like City's domestic cup draws in 2019 which led to their domestic treble. They were staggeringly easy.

That FA Cup run has to go down as the easiest run i've ever seen in my lifetime

FA Cup.
3rd round Rotherham
4th round Burnley
5th round Newport
Quarter finals Swansea
Semi Finals Brighton
Final Watford

EFL Cup
3rd round Oxford United
4th Round Fulham
Quarters Leicester
Semi finals Burton Albion
Final Chelsea

That’s ridiculous. Chelsea the only ‘big’ team in 10 games.

They beat watford 6-0 in the final. That brighton side they played in the semi avoided relegation by a point as well. All utter crap.

My God!

Having said that, we’d have found a way to come unstuck in recent years

We would have lost to Watford on penalties.

Yup. Makes that moment even greater, since we are the only team to have won it.

Good times.

A deflection.

Lovely to see the anguish on their faces.

Hughes and Smith. Pair of @#%&!s who actually hated each other.

In those days Cup Final day was the biggest in the football year for me (likely cos we weren't winning the league etc) up with the larks and TV coverage used to start mid morning from memory with the players leaving the hotels getting on the coach etc. Whole day of it on TV

Given we’re six years without a trophy, I’d say the league and fa cup have become more important to us than any time since 1990.

The days of special tokens. Turning up to random reserve games in case one was issued, then going in and out several times to secure a few. The effort paying off when tickets went on sale for semi finals and finals. Sticking them on a token sheet with sellotape and hoping the black marker pen didn’t spoil before it got stuck on another….
