£#%&!ed up massively on foreign exchange hedging last year.

Net finance costs for the year ended 30 June 2022 were £62.2 million mainly due to losses on unhedged USD borrowings in the current year. The club was run badly. We've got about a 65% ratio of wages to revenue, which is cause for concern in itself (target is 50% max), but should leave us with plenty over for other things.

If we had an owner who simply reset the debt, borrowings, etc., and made us a purely uk-based entity from a financial point of view, we'd have so much more money to build the club.

Fairly specific wasn’t he? He’s one of the few reliable (ish) journos, so, fingers crossed. He’s usually pretty conservative so coming from him… maybe I’m just getting desperate.

Not that he said anything we don’t really know, otherwise.
