Football Manchester United v Aston villa - 26/12/23 8pm - Official Match Thread

See the new beginnings of the Big Jim Glazer revolution. Are we expecting a 25% new owner bounce? Hojlund breaking his duck dreaming of a none leaking South Stand Roof?.

It’s Boxing Day and it’s live!!

United 0 - Villa 2

Well Jeff Villa have a keeper who can stop the ball going in the net and a striker who can put the ball in the net so I’m going 3 nil Villa

A new era, a buzz in the air as SJR takes overall control of a quarter of the club, everyone in party mood after the festive celebrations, fans rolling up eager in anticipation of a Christmas miracle and, tonight one will be granted them, for tonight it WON’T rain.

As for the game, United will pass the ball around well, drawing the Aston Villa players unwittingly forward into a huge trap. While they have committed half their team into our half, one of our defenders will hump the ball forward in the general direction of their goal, and the red horde will pour forward giving one of our attackers the opportunity to contend vigorously for the ball before a second or two, before losing out by falling over.

Villa will effectively then run with the ball, forward, forward, forward some more, then do a shoot into our net, making it almost impossible for us to recover the situation as there are less than 86 minutes left on the clock.

0-4

Reds trying to shift their tickets for this one on a scale not seen since the van gaal era.

Personally, it has to get a lot worse than this to stop me wanting to get out of the house.

Will use my watch pulse monitor to try and stem my anger whilst watching Antony being Antony.

We will win this. 2-0. Hojlund will score them both. Antony and Bruno assists.

I have absolutely no faith in my predictions but am tired of the doom and gloom.

You'd have to pay me to go.

I'd want £2k minimum.

If we play

Keeper

AWB Varane shaw. Reguilon

Mainoo Amrabat

Antony bruno garnacho

Hojlund

We’ve got a chance of winning.

I’d even be happy to stick bruno up top and bring Hannibal into midfield

Taking my youngest to this one. Good omen. Been with him 5 or 6 times this season and haven’t seen us win. And we’ve watched some of the most wretched insipid dull af football of my entire life. Such is the curse that we left before mctom’s 90+ min double against Brentford.

Going with a mate and contemplating driving to prevent being stranded afterwards. Boxing Day night games ffs. We used to be a country…

3-0 loss with the camera constantly showing a frustrated big Jim in the stands.
