Last time I was in for a game there were a few old fellas who looked like they might have been at deaths door watching the football but none of them were hitting the beak to my knowledge.
There were also a group of bright young things all with bull terriers talking about barbour jackets and how many times their houses had been raided for drugs by the old bill which tickled me given the locality of the nearest police station.

BRL - so are you living in Northenden (M22) or Didsbury (M20) ?

Either way you are associated with either Hark or Stoney, so its bad form either way

edit - try the spread eagle just over from the crown

second edit - just realised I used the word "either" a bit too often there.

My address is M22 and Northenden but I am as close to the border of M20 as I can be. I have nothing to do with Stoney as he is always mean to me on here and I similarly do not know Hark.

Ive never tried the spread eagle, the look of pubs that had a roof tailor made for a couple of snarling German Shepards tends to put me off

I was playing a game on Wythie Park once when the goalie on the next pitch got arrested for Murder*

committed a couple of nights previous outside the now defunct royal thorn pub, not on the pitch
