if we get someone better than cavani, we won't need him.

similarly, if we could have got someone better than cavani, we wouldn't have needed him.

i'd say you only keep him here if you aren't willing to go buy a proper #9 to replace Martial as he's a £#%&!ing shit player 90% of the time so you have to find a lead striker and use Cavani in rotation

Yep, Cavani isn’t the problem. It’s whether we are able to shift Martial and get a better replacement.

Yeah, nobody is suggesting that he plays 90 minutes every game.

If he leaves and we bring in one forward, we’ll be in exactly the same position next season.

We need to add 2 to what we have, not 1 out 1 in ffs. He leaves, we’ll need 3.

yeah but if they bring someone in, i'm sure it'll be a guy that is good neough to start every match and push martial to the bench or he gets sold to bring in someone else

so not exactly the same position other than the sheer number 2=2 but not in terms of player utilization

he can have 2 for me. okay so he's not gifted with pace, but his football brain is second to none. this can only be a good thing around the young un's.

He's not sure if he wants to stay in England, but if he does stay, he wants to commit himself to 2 more years of living in the country that he's not sure about staying in?

Yeah, Ole said as much last week.

He's moved to a new country under lockdown, not seen most of his family for god knows how long - can't blame him for potentially wanting to bugger off given the circumsrances.

Say what you want about him, he's looked up for it in the last two games.

He didn't get much service last night when on but still scored.

He has plenty left in the tank if you can give him the service, he could quite easily play in Argentina or wherever in 2 years and be successful over there. Tevez is still playing at 37.
