He can sign after the window closes, 'we' could do a deal with a Championship club after Monday's window shuts too. So in theory, if United couldn't sign Sancho they could go after Sarr and sign him on or before the 16th October.

A situation where they had plenty of time to act to back a fairly young manager who did very well last season has turned into a shit show and yet again confirmed that neither Woodward nor anyone else in the upper echelons of the hierarchy have a clue about what they're doing.
