Default This away form malarky

Looking at the points away from home United (17 from 12), Arsenal (25 from 13) City (22 from 14) Spuds (21 from 13), Chelsea (19 from 14). It's only really the Arse who have really stepped up and scored freely. 1 win puts us above Chelsea and 2 wins above City in away points.

Bit like cricket, add on two wickets to your score...And if we had beaten Chelsea 10-0 we'd have scored more away goals than the greatest ever team.

Wigan
Chelsea
Liverpool
West Ham
Newcastle
Arsenal
Blackburn

Those are our remaining away fixtures in the League. We've been pretty awful away from home all season and I see no evidence of that improving in the final couple of months of the season. There's some pretty tough games in that list and I fear it's there that the League will be lost.

Well, I would like to think that we'll win against Wigan, 'Ammers, Barcodes and Blackburn, draw a couple of the others and the title's ours. Easy.

I think we're more likely to drop points in a few of those games and win some big aways.

Isn't the Chelsea game getting pushed back to May if they beat Everton in their Cup replay?

After some of the horror shows we've had on the road, I wouldn't take anything for granted.

Honestly not confident in any of them, we've been so poor away from home.

As long as Rooney keeps doing this bicycle-kick thing he started doing against City then we'll be fine.

You might not be aware of this, but all teams play each other both home and away over the course of a season.

Last time I looked, United were top of the league. 4 points ahead of the team in second place.

Fergie is spot on though only a few more goals from Berbs/Rooney and we'd be 4-6 points better off with a comparable record to the others in terms of points and goals scored.

yes but we still have difficult games compared to arsenal, the only away they have i can see which they don't look like winning is barca
and home games they will struggle in are again barca and us and the scouse in the league
whereas we have liverpool, chelsea and arsenal away
as well as the chelsea home fixture in poor away form

fwiw if we look at how results we can expect at the very least
Wigan
Chelsea
Liverpool
Bolton
West Ham
Fulham
Newcastle United
Everton
Arsenal
Chelsea
Blackburn
Blackpool
theres about 27 points there if we don't win the 4 big games etc
arsenal could be looking at about 29 points in the same circumstances

we'll win the league by about 5-6 points after beating them at the emirates
city lets face it being city will probably finish 4th

So, having beat Arsenal this season (a "hard" game), and losing to Wolves (an "easy" game), you still think league position is the major predicating force in the result?
