Default Mendy cleared

Of one count of rape after a retrial.

Now a free man after being found not guilty of all charges.

No club, career probably over...

Wow.

If he's been cleared and that's that, career ruined - the women have obviously colluded. Surely they should see some jail time ffs.

Jesus. Jail time is a bit harsh for them. A tiny percentage of sexual assault accusations end up in a conviction. Does that mean they’re all making it up?

They’re notoriously difficult to prove, especially when it involves somebody ‘famous’.

Strange case from what I’ve heard. Unsure why the CPS felt the evidence was strong enough to go to trial tbh, because there wasn’t anything that was a guaranteed slam dunk. Was always going to come down to his word against theirs, and I think his team managed to put enough doubt in the minds of the jury about what actually happened. Not helped by the evidence and behaviour of some of the girls.

Very difficult issue.

On balance, £#%&! the blue @#%&!.

No he didn’t. They couldn’t reach a verdict in the first trial. Which is very very different to being found not guilty.

Spending £800,000 days n home improvements that add no value to the property is an excellent endeavour.

Absolutely - no idea how CPS approved this.
Total cash grab gone wrong, which will only make it harder for genuine victims to obtain justice.

And yep, £#%&! the blue @#%&!.

People always through money around but do victims actually get a lot of money? Or are they hoping it's settled out of court?
