Default 2012 Best XI?

Since none of us agree with the FIFApro spain XI, what should it have been?

For me,

Cech

Ramos ... Cheielini ... Kompany ... Cole

Pirlo ....... Y.Toure

Cristiano ...........Iniesta .............. Messi

RVP

Cech Just because the big lummox saved a few pens doesn't mean he's not a £#%&!ing liability.

I'd go with something along the lines of...

------------------------Buffon---------------------

-------Ramos-----Kompany----Hummels------

Ronaldo--------Xavi------Pirlo-----------Messi

---------------------Iniesta--------------------

---------------van Persie------Falcao----------

This. You can't argue with that front 6. Imagine that team ffs

Shame that @#%&! Kompany has to be in there though, but there's no one else tbh. Maybe bench him and whack Pique in. Even if he has been injured a lot.

RVP didn't get in because he didn't do well in CL (although that was arsenal's fault). Hummels hardly deserves to get in. He was shambolic for dortmund in CL and was shown up in germany's quarter final match.

for Ramos, all i can say is

van Persie scored 60 odd goals last year, plus another 20 assists, the guy single handedly kept Arsenal in the hunt for a CL position & has proven he can step up. Only player on there not to win something last season granted but doesn't detract from his personal performance, double player of the year.

The rest, £#%&! it - opinions & that - Ramos won the league & the European championships, I'll probably take Mourinho & Del Bosque's opinion over some @#%&! on the internet tbh.

If it was voted by journalists like before, RVP would have gotten in. In fact I would have expected Ronaldo to win the award. Now there are over 600 @#%&!s all over the world voting for it. wouldn't expecting anything else.

The voting is a disgrace, some @#%&! from Georgia voted Rooney the best player in the world ffs

Makes a bit of a mockery of it all, but what can you do. It's just an individual award that means £#%&! all in the grand scheme of things.

rooney shouldn't get into top 20 footballers of last year

but going by BVM's argument about ramos, casillas should win the GK spot since he won League and European Championship with Spain while captaining the respective sides.

Touch simplistic... captain of Spain is who has the most caps / most senior player & of all positions the 'keeper is the least important to their philosophy :Brenton:

Buffon was part of an unbeaten side for nigh on 18 months - likewise Pirlo

Any team that has Hart, JT, Lamps and Wazza as its spine will be a winner tbh

I wonder how long it will take for someone to take this too seriously and say 'that wouldn't work as a team'.
