Just get ChatGPT to decide the winner based on heat maps and ‘duels won’ and have done with it.
XG will count in the scoreline soon.

Hearing the same. Was driving back from Wales so didn't see it but hearing from my sources that Dalot had Saka in his back pocket for the whole game and was united's MotM, and Rasmus was a BEASSSTTTT.

We've basically been a couple of dodgy decisions from 4 wins out of 4. And that's with half the first team missing.

Saka didn’t have a sniff all game.

One was of Dalots best game’s defensively, he was very good.

but those saying we lost because of the ref/VAR are cracked.
Basically if the game had ended on 95 mins with a 1-1 draw nobody could have complained.

The fact that we ended up with two goals against us in the 97th and 101st mins is just a kick in the teeth considering generally how well we'd defended until that point.

It just feels like everything is conspiring against us at the moment with injuries, some really harsh VAR decisions, the ownership situation and the inability to shift the deadwood in the squad. Yet again we lurch from one 'crisis' to the next and it just goes round and round.

Fingers crossed we can get some players back and try and kick on after this international break because surely to christ at some point things have to turn around for us.

Yeah, you saged it. Not having shaw provide acres of space and all the time in the world to the opposition helped us down that side today.

Ah, have you changed your underpants? You called me out for saying the same after the match….

I try to keep calm and rational after such disappointing defeats. It keeps me sane.

Dalot, AWB, Rashford, Onana, Højlund were all positives today. The fact that we ended the game and conceded two with Maguire and Evans on the field is quite a sickener, but hey ho. We march on from here.

We switched off after the goal. That was the biggest sin. We should've been one nil at halftime and then wrapped it up in the second half. A lack of professionalism cost us.

There probably wasn’t a replay shown. I didn’t get on on Optus sport here

And as for the Saka foul, imagine that was Casemiro. GONE.

Noted on Optus: both Townsend and commentator thought nacho was onside

Both also said their penalty claim was no pen

Seemed a dubious offside call but we can't let stuff like that affect us. Similarly, scoring a goal shouldn't affect our mentality. But both did.

Definitely an attitude issue with this lot. Get players back from injury and we have decent options and as results improve, hopefully the confidence will follow. Lack of cohesion is affecting mentality as well as the play.

Apparently, the Moroccan lad can hold possession and make a pass. Should make a difference

The big games always expose the fact that we are a team that is overly-reliant on a special moment from an individual, usually Rashford or Garnacho on the left, and struggle to really dominate teams in the final third.

Its all well and good keeping possession in our own half, with Onana pinging pretty long range passes to the full-backs, but we really lack confidence in the final third, and it shows in the paltry amount of chances we create, and goals we score.

When was the last time we went to an away ground and pinned an opposition team back for the majority of the 90 mins, creating chance after chance, with real threats from various angles?

Højlund should hopefully help with this, as he looks capable of being a physical focal point of the attack, that we can build runners around, but its a big ask of a 20 year old over an entire season.

Noticed that. Townsend was that sure Garnacho was on I expected the goal to stand.

“yep I think he’s good” was his comment on the freeze.

Feeling a bit better this morning than last night. Lots of positives - Rasmus showing immediately what he brings. Similar to Onana, I think he will be transformational in terms of how we play. Ridiculous it's been this long without a capable striker

Only worry is defence. Could have Martinez, Varane, Shaw, Lindelof, Malacia out. We clearly don't have the depth to cover. If Martinez is long term, are loans still on?

Hoping the Moroccan lad can also have a transformative effect. Long time since we had a player to play his role, too.

Martinez has traveled to join the Argies, so, hopefully not too serious

Someone comes in on the cover and just mops up. I think that’s how he gets away with it. It looked dubious at the time and Sky didn’t even show a replay.

He’s absolutely done him there and that’s a foul anywhere else on the pitch.

It wasn’t replayed and only mentioned very briefly. Absolutely nailed on penalty. A worse decision than the offside

Kick in the teeth that yesterday. We had it won ffs

VAR has sucked the joy out of football - our end was bedlam when Garnacho scored
