mikel hasn't looked too bad the last couple of years when i've seen chelsea (not very often ;-}). could be a decent stop gap water-carrier if he can get to the pace straight away. if he can't then he'll get pelters and disappear...

the bit about getting clearance to spend made me laugh - we've thrown about half a £#%&!ing billion at it ffs. how much easier do they want it to be?

To be fair to Fergie and Gill, they were talking about when we had a manager who could sign players for less than £30million and win the league, not when we've spent £#%&!ing fortunes to hover between 4th and 7th.

Jose has worked with the lad for years and if he thinks Mikel is what we need then so be it. I have a feeling Jose knows a bit about the football and we have to trust him.
