Player of the season for me.

Looks a leader back there and so calm at bringning the ball out.

Yep.

Him and Smalling the best pairing too. Complement each other nicely.

Very good but it is also noticeable how much easier it has been for the defenders recently, team as a whole are massively improved defensively compared to how we started the season, when Utd were an utter mess front to back in terms of organization and structure.

Been saying for a while the reason the defence looks so fragile is what is in front of it and the coaching rather than the individual abilities. Taken 2 months to prove it.

Calm defensive work reminiscent of Martin Buchan.

Always looking to be constructive bringing the ball out.

People liked to put our defensive record of previous years all on De Gea( Look at Romero's stats though) and pretend that our defenders were mid table level.

Smalling and Jones, flaws and all are well above average PL Cb's. With Lindelöf improving greatly we are not too badly stocked there, the same jump from Bailly and it starts to look like an area of strength. If there is someone out there who is an improvement, absolutely get them, but throwing £75 million on novelty player Harry Maguire would not have improved us.

Ole is not doing anything magical with them, just setting the team up in a structured manner while still giving them the freedom and confidence to commit numbers forward. Previous manager would have had us believe doing that was the equivalent of splitting the atom.

he has been playing football since he was a kid, he shouldnt be phased getting the ball like that. The simple fact he isnt good enough and he was another player united signed because city were going to get him.

When your confidence is low, it's almost like every touch is fraught with worry because you're constantly expecting to Lukaku it into touch/the opposition's feet.

It's remarkable what confidence can do to your physical abilities, and it affect everybody at some point.
