do you actually get one if you play for england?

You get one of these when you play for Holland, it's called a Dutch-Cap

Yes they do. Pretty gay looking things really, got tassles on them.

Don't think they do get them any more - stopped in the 80's I think.

They definitely get one for their debut, I know that. Its lightish blue velvet with gold tassles and stiching on it with the lions on the front. Not sure if they get one after that.

Do they not get them to commemorate milestones?

Debut, 50 caps, 100 caps and so on?

They used to get them for every game.

They may well still do, it has the name of the opposition on the peak and the year of the match. Like I say they definitely get them on their debut, as for the rest I'm not sure

They used to get one for each game. I remember seeing a picture of Peter Shilton with all his England caps... will try and root it out.

Definitive answer here. Still get them but for major tournaments you get one cap per tournament. I think the company that makes them is in Bury

Remember a lad at my school around 1991/1992 who played for England Schoolboys, and used to get presented with his caps from the headmaster in front of all the school.
