Sweet and sour pork with fried rice done on the BBQ. Don't normally go for sweet and sour as its a bit sickly but was excellent.

I like it, but the sauce has MSG in doesn't it? Some people are a bit paranoid about that.

One of my local chippers does beer. Holy f***. What a game changer. Cod and chips and some Birra Moretti coming up! I am ravenous.

Are your licensing laws same as ours?

Chippys over here would struggle to get a legal licence

There used to be a Greek chippy in Camden (I think it was Camden anyway) that sold ale and they were open 24 hours before 24 hour drinking came in, the back of the place was just like a massive beer garden, I think fish and chips was just their sideline tbh

Not sure.

It's a sit down restaurant too so allowed sell booze. I doubt a place without seating would be allowed to sell booze.

This chippy was legal though. I presume selling food opened up some loophole in the law if it was illegal I'd be suprised it wasn't raided as they were hardly discreet.

Ah right, that makes more sense

Licences over here can cost anything from £200 to £2k a year

That's the one. Went in a couple of times years ago, I'm sure they were open all night but I could be remembering wrong.

There are some chippies here that have "seating areas", so its at least possible they could sell booze?
