Default 1.5 billion take over of l'arsenal

apparently some arab. didn't hear it all tbh

Arab Emirates
— Champions League will be vital to new owners
— They will put Arsene Wenger under scrutiny
— They’ll slash ticket prices to attract ‘real’ fans (lol)
— Star players will no longer have to be be sold

hope it doesn't £#%&! up our Wilshere deal

Can't see it tbh, Kroenke owned Arsenals TV rights before he had any shares and Usmanov is worth £18bn

Telegraph and the Sun both going with the story tomorrow.

Potentially bad news for Spurs/Chelsea/City. Maybe us too if Wenger stays and actually has some genuine backing for top quality players in the transfer market.

in any case it will be the first time a 'proper' football club has been taken over.

usually it's just 2 bob outfits like City, Chelsea & PSG.

Not fully, Kroenke owns 65% odd Usmanov 29.82%

It's all PR fluff for an Usmanov/David Dein bid, playing on the fact they've had to sell to make a profit and before the spurs match

not sure on the details but i think it's been on the cards for years but power struggles at the board level have stopped any one person taking control.

In a lot of ways I miss Arsenal. They were the challengers got the best out of us. City and Chelsea had one good season where we took our eyes off the prize and they nipped in.

I wasn't 100% sure on the details but basically they have two sugar daddies neither of which will buy the bitch dinner until the other has left the building

Word. Without Arsenal 99 would never have happened, much like this year Fergie raised his game

Usmanov has no say in anything as he needs 30% to see the books

*edit* I know all this as my Grandad left me 1.5 Arsenal shares which i'm still holding onto

So all the players will become money grabbing bastards then?

Honestly they could throw millions and they'll still have the same problems.
