Default Transfer Fees...

Quote:
Bournemouth are willing to sell England striker Callum Wilson to Chelsea for £75m - 25 times the amount they paid for the 26-year-old in 2014
Quote:
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says the club will not meet the reported £100m valuation for Wolves and Portugal midfielder Ruben Neves, 21.
Quote:
Everton are interested in signing Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele but will have to pay £75m for the 22-year-old France international
Quote:
Inter Milan coach Luciano Spalletti says 23-year-old Slovakia defender Milan Skriniar, who has been linked with Manchester United, is "out of everybody's price range".
It is going to take £#%&!ing years to sort the squad out properly based on the fees being banded about atm

Would take N'Dombele, but £75m for a 22 year old that has 2 seasons of football..

This is interesting..

Quote:
Bournemouth will offer Wales midfielder David Brooks, 21, a new deal in order to fend off interest from Manchester United and Tottenham.
Get in and get him bought now. Offer them Felli in exchange

More and more players will just run down their contracts in order to get their move probably.

Then clubs will give them even more massive incentives to sign on the dotted line and transfer fees and wages will spiral ever higher. It's madness

There is that, but there'll still be plenty wanting to sign new long term deals. Players are one really bad injury away from being £#%&!ed, so it's nice to have 4 years of a 200k contract left as back up.

There is only so much to spend and it's a question of balance - how much on the fee and how much in wages? The issue is that as with Sanchez if you pay more wages because he's free it can upset the existing wage structure. Maybe that's the issue with Ramsey for Arsenal?

What is interesting is the Bundesliga that has relatively low incoming transfer fees maybe due to the ownership model , not sure what the max is maybe €43m? The real problem is with the EPL, the two Spanish clubs and PSG. China seems to have died down.

Can smaller clubs compete in wages with the bigger sides? I can see players such as Neves etc just running down their contracts if the clubs price them out of a move to bigger sides tbh?

Well in the big fish small pond scenario, yeah, possibly.

If you were David Brooks, for instance, would you sign a new 5 year deal now, at 22, when you know your stock is high and you could possibly get a dream move and be on a hell of a lot of top clubs radar's as they know you won't cost the Earth? But, if you sign it, you get paid more short term and Bournemouth get to slap a truly ridiculous fee on your head scaring off all but a few clubs..

Our fault inflating it by paying 75 million for a centre forward who can't control a football

It's mental and it's what happens when tv money pays shit clubs for just turning up. They don't need the money, so do this shit.

I think it'll £#%&! up soon once the tv rev stalls

Supply, demand and equilibrium. Clubs can’t pay what they can’t afford.

The only value left in the market are the players we sell.
