Think we might've been up for it at Anfield last year, Fergie's bizarre team selection may have scuppered us a bit though.

Gerrard or Torres out is a crisis for them.

There's £#%&! all else in that squad.

Lets not forget the 20 million they spend on Aquilani, a player who whilst looking decent at Roma never really set the world on fire and whose injury record is so bad that when Roma sold him they sacked half of their physio staff.

We were in complete control and 1 up until Carrick broke his ankle, then VDS/Brown had a mare.

We were pissing it until then, without the best player in the World.

My memory may be damaged by a sense of resentment. I remember it being a mess.

Only after Mascherano (I think) 'did' Carrick. Liverpool couldn't get in the game prior to that. The strangeness began when he replaced Carrick with Giggs but left Anderson on the left and Rooney on the right. That was rather strange IIRC.

We were missing Fletcher as well, which was a big miss at the time.

Default "Benitez Rocked By Injury Crisis"

£#%&! off. What 'crisis'?

They've got three or four players out injured and Torres and Johnson don't sound serious anyway. Gerrard could also be back to play us. As for that teenager who put in a good cross last night... (did Andy Gray mention it at all?) ...don't make me laugh.

What the £#%&! is this non-story making headlines for? We had to deal with far more injuries all through last season and constantly affecting the same positions. I don't remember it really being mentioned let alone making headlines. Although I suppose we weren't a two man team so it wasn't quite so obvious.

Naturally, Benitez can use it as an excuse because he'd hate to ever shoulder any of the blame for his side being shit. Maybe it's a good thing anyway. Keep allowing them to make excuses and perhaps they won't realise that their squad is seriously £#%&!.

Sorry for another Liverpool thread. It's relevant enough anyway.

The team that won the EC was built by Houllier. Since Rafa's been signing players they've done £#%&! all.

Liverpool built their whole season last year on a lucky result against us.

It's incredible that the amount of players that we've had out on long term injuries never seems to get a mention.

We've had it much worse than those @#%&!s.

Still actually true though.

Worth noting we finished with 10 men in both games too.
