But the only reason this is ever suggested is because Rangers and Celtic are so much better than the rest of the teams in Scotland. If we were having this discussion in 1985, then Aberdeen would be very much part of the discussion. Including them in the discussion in 2009 because of a trophy they won in 1983 is a bit imo.
