What a load of %@#$&!s that is. We've far more injuries than that heart attack waiting to happen.

Gerrard and Torres will start.

In fact, I'm going on betfair to see if I can stick some cash on it.

The crisis is simply that, in five years, Benitez has built a laughably weak squad.

5 years to build and they can't handle the loss of two good players.

I think Greame Souness touched on this last night. He's hardly one to talk really but he is right.

Liverpool fans don't have an image of Souness the manager on their flag of managerial legends in the Kop though

Made me laugh last night, Andy Gray looking for reasons/excuses started reeling off the injuries that had blighted the team selection...

'You have to remember Liverpool are missing big players such as Gerrard, Torres........

and Glen Johnson.....

They should still be avoiding defeat here, really'

He seem to catch himself halfway through, realising that, really, they're shite.

Funnily enough, the sour faced cun has now had the odds of his being next dipper manager slashed to 2/1 at William Hill.

I thought exactly the same, but, like you say, he's right. When you consider Gerrard wasn't his signing that makes it one player, out of sixty odd, who you can say is a genine success. You could about about 5-6 okish but inconsistent performers beyond that but that's your lot. Amazing he's stlll got a job.

I'd go as far as saying Torres is the only really great signing he has made.

Others that have done ok and are good players are
Reina
Bennayoun
Alonso
er, struggling now.

Great signing who seemingly he never really rated 'til he'd made him desperate to leave.

Sure but he's bought more than two teams since then and sold most of them on.
If they don't realise Istanbul was a fluke then they've got a problem. Not to take anything away, a european cup win is a european cup win but 5 years alter and chaos still reigns, I can't believe he still has that much support.

A lot was made of them missing last year at anfield. Seem to remember we were missing the world player of the year but nobody outside united does.

I just hope we're up for it as much as them. Unlike last year x2
