I believe his contract is up next year, and he's on a reported £60k per week. Southampton probably looked at renewing and realised that he'd want more than they're willing to pay.

I think for the price being thrown about he'd be a decent signing.

We need more midfielders, and Lemina is probably better than both Pereira and Fred, and is (apparently) available for only £15mil. Obvious choice for me.

Inconsistent... would be an upgrade on most in the midfield as a squad option, but the issue is really whether or not he's a @#%&!.

Given he turns it on & can go missing, it's not like we don't already have the king of that in the side already.



£15m is literally nothing in this market, having lost Herrera I'd be inclined to add someone who can actually play football in there as soon as we can.

I have an emotional attachment to the club believe it or not. Of course I have to follow then. But, come on, how the hell is this kind of signing going to get us competing? The guy played 18 games last season ffs. Southampton have deemed him surplus to requirements. I'm just disgusted tbh.
