An astonishing travesty of a decision. The hypocritical inconsistency they have shown in their treatment of Manchester United and Fergie this year has been quite incredible.

How can they justify this charge when a minimal amount of investigation shows other managers making exactly the same type of comments? Laughable.

Utd have to surely make some kind of formal complaint over this.

Similar comments about referees have been made by a host of managers this season, with Chelsea’s Carlo Ancelotti also publicly commenting on Webb’s suitability for the game against United. Ancelotti could yet be charged by the FA, however.
