Got a shit memory but think it was Bobby's last match at Stamford Bridge in 1973.

Sort of remember a 1-1 at the Dell in Southampton in 1974 i think.

First home game....Leicester, April 77.....saw the last 3 Tommy Doc games

First away game.....QPR, Sept 78.... an overnight hitchhike including walking over thelwall viaduct and falling asleep at half time and missing both goals in a 1-1er.......made up for with a walkabout Soho before the match

Am I right in thinking Robbo swallowed his tongue in the first game?

Arsenal at home 21 September 1957. My first memory of any match with my Dad, 4-2.

I probably went before but no memories.

Began a lifelong obsession causing delirious bouts of euphoria and soul destroying bouts of the black dog depending on the result.

Why oh why did the old @#%&! get me hooked on such a mentally destructive obsession of the love of Manchester United.

The highs make up for the lows. And as a United fan you get more highs than most

That maybe true recently but I waited and suffered for twenty six years in hope.

So I reckon I am entitled to enjoy our recent success.

Well we all are LLUTD.

All the games I went to prior to this are a blur, I was mainly terrified but I remember this night like it was yesterday.

Sounds about right. Which stand was it that had a massive mural or billboard down below about United and Celtic being mates? Scoreboard? That's where we were anyway.

Probably not the first, but the first one I can remember. Sat in J-stand and all my dads mates having flasks and a packed lunch around us. Vs Wolves '81. Sammy Mac hat trick, 5-0, Robbo signing on the pitch.

Sang 5 nil, 5 niiilll, 5555 niiiiillll, 5555 niillll in the car on the way home.

Dad told me to shut it.

Wimbledon in 92. Lost 1 nil to a late Lawrie Sanchez goal.

First away game was the season before at QPR. Drew 1-1 with a late equaliser from Shorts IIRC.
