Still have one from circa 2010, mate.

Halcyon days.

Charlton had lost all their games prior to that, hadn't they? Wonder if you joined in the mass booing at the end

I was 5 mate. I was more arsed about whether we would see Welephant (Fire Safety Elephant) again on the way out.

My dad recalls that I was more arsed about Welephant than Bryan Robson

Welephant is still a thing, apparently.

A strange first game and not even at Old Trafford and to be honest it was far more interesting outside of Wembley than inside .

Thought that must have been one of the last that didn't have penalties after a draw, but to my surprise it was shared as recently as 1991.

The first shoot-out was United v Arsenal two years later. We won

The City Ground in Nottingham, circa 1979. Was born in Nottingham and my old boy used to take me to watch Cloughie's Forest. When the Red Army came to town, I remember my mum trying to stop me going, but my Dad took me to the match anyway, I just remember watching the Utd end for the whole 90 minutes, as it was non-stop noise and chaos. I think it was the only time I had seen my old fella get proper nervous, and from that moment decided that Utd had the toughest fans and therefore I should became a Utd fan. I was 4 years old at the time and can't remember the score (think it was a draw).
