Default fergie on anderson last night

Quote:
"Anderson, for example, has been feeling the effects of being in China [at the Olympic Games]," revealed the boss.

"Adrenalin got him through his first match at Portsmouth, but since then he's been a bit low. But tonight he was back to himself which was great to see."

hopefully so. didn't see the game, did anderson look back to decent form? we could really do with someone carrying the ball forward at pace from deep - i think we've missed that kind of drive from mf this season so far.

He looked very good.

Ball sticking to his feet again.

Nice movement, nice passing and a few bursting runs.

I just wanted the ball to go to him every time we got it

Anderson looked a lot better, lots more running and energy.

His passing was still a bit off, but that will come with games.

I knew he was struggling, that little break and time will sort him out.

he was crap.
passing the ball forwards, running with it, looking for the forward pass and showing good movement.

needs to learn to do pivots and feed rio and vidic the ball imo.

He was excellent. But then again his sublime pass set up our goal at Anfield, and another pin-point ball should have seen Tevez putting the game to bed. So I don't agree he's been off the pace at all.

Anderson was bound to be off the pace following the Olympics.

It's nice to hear that he is beginning to get back to where he was

Hopefully now we'll begin to see some genuine progression from the kid

The game passed him by in the second half at Anfield imo.

He still looks a bit short of fitness to me, at least in terms of stamina, but he was definitely a fair bit sharper last night. Some very nice positive passing, a couple of driving runs, getting forward to support the strikers. Good stuff really, and clearly more reminiscent of how he was playing last season.

did anyone else laugh when they saw it.

i was thinking...

'there we go, our drogba is gonna put that in....'

'£#%&!ing hell what have we bought'

if he was left footed he would have hit it across the keeper and it go out wide that way if anything. if he was right footed he would have tried to side foot it...
he just took a wild swipe at it and a swipe that looked like it was hit with conviction as well

The pass for Nani's goal was awful too. Just straight to their defender. He nearly fell over after he played it

He'll come good soon.
