Along with Ronaldo, Cantona is quite clearly the Premier League's greatest ever player.
Henry won 2 Premier League titles, Shearer 1, yet they're lauded by the masses as the best the league has seen because they regularly ran in goals against shite like Bolton and Bradford.
As you say, Cantona was essentially the integral player for his teams in an English career where he won the title in 5 out of 6 seasons; Ronaldo was the integral player when he won 3 titles on the spin, the Champion's League and the Ballon d'Or. No other players come close to these two. Without the ban, Eric would have won 6 league titles in a row, and three consecutive doubles. Imagine if Henry or Shearer came close to anything like that, ffs.
