To Lisbon.

That defence looks poor. I'd play PiG though.

I wouldn't worry too much, its a good opportunity for O'Shea and those kids to show what they can do. And if we cant use them in this meaningless game then when can we use them?

It's not meaningless. We win, we win the group. The stiffs can then go out and play Roma.

We're qualified for me and that was the main objective, Ideal opportunity IMO to give reserves a chance, besides, look at that front 6, its a home game, I don't think what happened against Bolton will happen again.

Look at this cheap, tacky knockoff thread. Did you get it at a market or a pound shop saffers?

He's the official voice of the club to be fair.

He may be, that cuts no ice here, no matter how premature he wants to be.

Start Rio, if we're 2-0 up then we can bring Evans on. Fulham isn't for a week afterwards.

Exactly.

For some reason I seem to think the link with Sporting means we'll show them complete respect & play a strong side, complete with the lads we had off them. Ronnie & Nani will be desperate to play as well I imagine.

Getting back to winning ways is a priority along with qualifying top, the Roma game becomes a nothing match then & complete rest will be on the cards.

Ronaldo, Nani to start

26/11/2007

CRISTIANO Ronaldo and Nani will be part of the Manchester United line-up to face former club Sporting Libson in Tuesday’s Champions League encounter at Old Trafford.

Sir Alex Ferguson took the unusual step of naming five members of his starting XI, confirming both Portugal internationals will be involved, along with long-serving pair John O’Shea and Darren Fletcher, plus reserve goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak.

Nemanja Vidic has recovered from a minor back ailment and may replace Gerard Pique as United look to preserve their 100% record and ensure they end the Group F campaign in top spot.

Manchester United (from): Van der Sar, Kuszczak, Brown, Simpson, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evans, Evra, O’Shea, Ronaldo, Carrick, Anderson, Hargreaves, Fletcher, Nani, Giggs, Saha, Tevez.

Still surprises me how many people call them Sporting Lisbon.

Sporting. Or Sporting CP, if you like. Not Lisbon.
