Centre half is the way to go. The team I play in, neither centre half runs much more than I do. The three of us make a nice little triangle for 90 minutes.

Nearly 12 months after my second 'debut' and I'm now playing for a team that plays in tournaments and everything. I only wanted to play for a laugh but the competition soon kicks-in...I can go a whole 70 minutes without a cig and we don't even have a pint afterwards.
I've missed 6 weeks with soft-tissue injuries and hospitalised two oppo's but my bodies done ok so far. Getting ready for a game now involves base-layers, compression shorts, calf-sleeves, ankle-binds and protein shakes.
Got our biggest tournament to date coming-up in 4 weeks so we're training twice a week. £#%&!ing love playing football tbfit.

Just got back from 5-a-side tonight. Still play every week and sometimes twice. Enjoy it more now than I ever have but I think that's because I spent most of my 30's boozing and smoking etc. and was chronically unfit.

Mid life crisis and all that.

Have any Fredtsers taken up the game after such a long lay-off? Will I die?
