Default Pique (7 million), Rossi (7 million+), Smith (6 million), Heinze (7 million)

If these rumours are true then we'll make back more than half of what we've already spent.

Not sure about selling Rossi or Pique though. One of them maybe.

Would prefer to keep hold of Rossi & Pique.

They're are much better prospects in the long term.

Add Richardson to that list and you've got enough for pretty much any striker in world football.

Default I'd keep...

....Rossi & Bardsley. Haven't seen too much of Pique recently.

Will also miss Gabby,--when he first came he was a much better lb than Cashley, but his 05-06 form was lost last year. Does he buy his food at the same grocer as O'Shea ?

If Saha was fit I'm sure we'd get the best part of £12mill for his as well.
Unfortunately if we do have a bit of a clear out I doubt very much it'll go towards a striker. I think it's fair to say that it'll help to cover the Hargreaves,Nani,Anderson fee's

It's obvious that after spending £50m we'll have to sell before we can buy a quality striker.

I'd rather keep Heinze than sell him, but neither he nor Smith would really be missed. Rossi is the one I wouldn't want to lose. He should at least be given six months to show what he can do. Pique would be worth giving a shot, but £7m is a very decent off for him and if it means we get a top quality striker I'd consider cashing in on him.

Smith, Heinze, Pique and Richardson should raise the £25m to get us a class forward.

7 million for pique is a bit unlikely I think

So do I.
I also think anything over £2mill for Richardson is extremely unlikely.

I'd have thought if we were having a 'mass clearout' that it would have started by now. Especially if we were relying on it to raise funds for a much needed striker.

That was the reported offer.

Since Premiership teams are throwing around a few million here and there for utter shite players then I think we should get three mill for Richardson. I'd give him away free, but I know there are clubs stupid enough to pay decent money.

Also 7m for Rossi seems a bit high - he may be an ok player but he couldnt break into newcastle's side - i reckon anything over 3m is a bonus.

Parma have already offered 7m for him.

although i would be against selling louis saha i wonder if his current injury put paid to any bid for torres, we would have had the striker fergie is keen on and they would have got an excellent striker (when fit) and a nice sum of money. I'm just surmising and perhaps this is why smith thought he was going to get an extension on his contract.

I dont think smith has proved himself good enough for a contract extension.
