It's obvious that after spending £50m we'll have to sell before we can buy a quality striker.
I'd rather keep Heinze than sell him, but neither he nor Smith would really be missed. Rossi is the one I wouldn't want to lose. He should at least be given six months to show what he can do. Pique would be worth giving a shot, but £7m is a very decent off for him and if it means we get a top quality striker I'd consider cashing in on him. Smith, Heinze, Pique and Richardson should raise the £25m to get us a class forward. |

although i would be against selling louis saha i wonder if his current injury put paid to any bid for torres, we would have had the striker fergie is keen on and they would have got an excellent striker (when fit) and a nice sum of money. I'm just surmising and perhaps this is why smith thought he was going to get an extension on his contract.
