This is true.

The summer is the problem, but that shouldn't reflect on the reaction to this window.

It's been a good window and we're significantly better off that this time last week. I can't believe anyone could seriously deny that.

To be fair, they did sign three players. About our limit.

Ed will be £#%&!ing gutted he had to move for Fernandes in January. It will almost certainly be coming out of next summer's budget.

Better hope we get a fortune for Pogba, otherwise it'll be slim pickings.

He doesn't suit Ole. His game isn't flexible enough to adapt and he isn't going to be a squad player.

He had to go.

Rashford became our main man and then the issue was finding a back up striker.

We didn't do it in the summer. We should have and now we're in a position where the squad is thin and needs an instant boost.

He's not the answer to anything other than what he's supposed to be - a six month, short term bit of help.

It doesn't reflect on the long term targets and there's virtually no risk.

It's not him or Lukaku. Its him or nobody.
Lukaku has been replaced by Martial. Who also needs replacing in the first XI.

Three players when we needed about six. Our squad is threadbare.

I agree. But we have to stretch out the signings. Skint. And it's hard to shift our overpaid shit@#%&!s.

Ole knows. Already said we shouldn't try and bring too many in at once...

A sobering thought and testament to Woodward's nous that all those only just cover the Sanchez wage bill

We’re pathetically weak in the wide attacking positions too. Rashford, martial, Greenwood and James is all we have that’s decent, and at least 2 of those are strikers. Martial is also a guaranteed lazy @#%&! when he has no competition. Imagine if we hadn’t got this guy on loan too, Jesus.

Pereira out wide ffs. Dalot left wing as sub. Roll on next season, assuming the club actually plans to spend enough to buy the players ole wants.

I don’t think it was the planning at ole’s level. It was failure above him, whether deliberate due to finance, or genuine due to finance or incompetence. Which is why slagging off the manager is misguided under those circumstances, and why ole is right to say it’s a long term plan as it’s impossible to do it quicker under the reality of the circumstances with regards sales and purchases. And sales and purchases are what’s needed to sort the issues ole inherited within the dressing room.

This isn’t city where guardiola can turn over 20 players in 12 months, and get rid of any failed signings 12 months later. Any united manager now is forced to walk through molasses, due to the situation created by prior mismanagement. Moyes’ and Van gaal’s times were the golden opportunities where financial flexibility was concerned. That’s my reading from the outside anyway.

I’d imagine fernandes came from the pogba money, as I’m sure pogba not leaving was the reason we didn’t sign fernandes or a higher rated target in the summer. The wage bill seems to dictate one in one out. Another problem created by woodward.
