Haven't we already paid £8m?

If it's another £20m then we have been spanked

I can't see that being the case though.

If Ronaldo goes, then i personally dont think we can stick with Rooney and Tevez up front.

Well we can, we'll just be far less direct and ultimately less effective.

I actually agree with this. If he goes, and say we get the £40-£50m being mooted, then I'm not sure spending a large wedge of it on Tevez is actually the best idea.

that means we'd need to bring in two world class forwards at least

we should be keeping Tevez whatever happens we're not exactly over loadeed with strikers

I don't think we should stick with Rooney and Tevez anyway.

Tevez is a good player to have in the squad, I just think we missed out big time on Torres and should be looking for a player who can stretch defences. We're lacking up front when we play Rooney and Tevez. Neither are particularly good finishers or good in the air, and they're not the quickest(although Rooney can be deceptively quick at times).

I also believe that if Ronaldo does leave, then we need to get the best out of Rooney and that means buying a striker who Rooney can drop off and create for. I don't think we've seen the best of Rooney for quite a time and I don't think we will until Ferguson buys a centre forward.

Long-tem I don't see Rooney & Tevez as a first choice combination.

To be honest I'd be more gutted about Tevez going than Ronaldo.

We need to be signing him outright AND signing a top forward.

He's a very good player as last season showed.

Bunker, I'll eat a plate of shit if/when it happens because I'll be a very happy man.

I've already said I doubt we'll see much investment in the squad if Ronaldo goes but I'll happily jump under a bus if we sign 3/4 quality players.

We should be adding a couple even if Ronaldo stays. A defender and a striker IMO.
