as a player, now that hes approaching his peak, im happy for him to stay and for us to benefit from the investment we've made in him.....

How many on here have complained about the blatant amateurishness and erraticity by which United approach the transfer window? United lose a lot of money and negotiating power on De Gea staying, and it wasn't obvious until yesterday that he would even be willing to play for us whilst under contract. The blunt reality is that this is not a coup for United. Woodward didn't get one over on Madrid. United messed up, but landed on their feet with a bit of luck.

You do know United were the selling club, right? Unless they wanted to sell, which they didn't, it wasn't in their gift to £#%&! it up. Everyone but you and Perez (and probably TBR and Saffers) accepts that Madrid £#%&!ed it.

Of course it's not a coup for United. Madrid had all the power but £#%&!ed it up. We did our end of the deal, it's not our fault they tried to diddle us at the last minute and made a hash of it.
