£#%&!ing hell! How good would this be?

Mind you, would prevent them from signing an alternative keeper in the event that De Gea signs a new contract....

Won't be able to get rid of him if all the top Spanish teams are transfer banned

They both will appeal though like barca and hence won't be able to sign next summer....

I think we could be seeing some players being offloaded by both clubs this summer too.. Wouldn't mind picking up Isco.

Perhaps. There's now a clear precedent with CAS upholding the Barca ban, though, so I imagine it's possible that FIFA might not behave the same way this time?

Real Madrid banned from signing players.

The very £#%&!ing idea. UEFA's untouchable darlings will be given a slap on the wrist. They are £#%&!ing teflon.

true.

it'd be £#%&!ing weird if they couldn't though. that's their whole thing. They buy a star every summer. such an odd policy.

If it was the case they were banned, they won't, exactly as sparky said Teflon, what good would £#%&!ing him off this summer do us, we need to rebuild the back five and getting rid of the keeper now would be detrimental to the team imo.

If he does want to go but will stay another season then I'd rather we signed him an extension, cash in later and let a couple of new defenders gel in before we sign a new keeper

If Madrid were banned from transfers too, we'd have to make this summer count. Some serious big boy shit from Woody needed.

Poggers. And get Reus if Madrid are out of contention

So price has JUST gone up to €50m if that happens and they come for him this season knowing they ll be banned next year (if he doesn't sign a new deal that is!) - take advantage and bleed the £#%&!ers dry IMHO

This

Barca and real banned by UEFA at the same time? not a £#%&!ing chance as that would mean all the best players coming to England and platini would not have that in 1000 years plus an embargo on the Spanish sides for FFP breaches(if that's the reason) would be the end of FFP NQAT
