Acting now to improve these areas is way more important than whether you improved 30, 40 or 50%.
That argument was made for:

Blind, Schneiderlin, Matic, Lukaku, Blind etc... It got us nowhere.

Equally, splashing big money on huge superstars failed spectacularly because none of them really wanted to be here.

In conclusion: we're £#%&!ed.

Don't rate him.

Another one that will cost a fortune, when you feel our scouting network should be able to identify players that aren't the most ubiqutous in our own league.

We signed 2 Blind brothers or Daley Blind twice?

Kind of how I feel tbh

He’s decent enough but like you say will cost a small fortune while we need to be able to stretch our budget further ()

There’s got to be players out there just as good if not better for a lot cheaper?

Not exactly the same position but Ryan Fraser is out of contract in the summer, Jarod Bowen at hull looks a very good player too.

Blind wasn’t shit mate. He could walk into this team in about six different positions.

Though isn't that because too many of our recent signings actually weren't?

Grealish would be a good signing, don't agree that Maddison is better either. I do like both though. I like the swagger that comes with Grealish (some might say arrogance). He demands the ball and is happy to run at opponents, creates a lot of opportunities for his team mates.

I'd be surprised if they sell him this month given he's their best player by some distance. They spent a fortune in the Summer though and Smith is already agitating for more (new) faces. Something might give I guess, probably him getting the sack!!

He was a good player. We mis-used him.

God bless Manchester United, who are at least trying, if perhaps a little too hard. Here’s the list of midfielders they’re currently thinking about buying: Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, Leicester City’s James Maddison, Newcastle United’s Sean Longstaff, Juventus’s Emre Can, Norwich City’s Todd Cantwell, Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos, and Widecombe Fair’s Old Tom Cobley.

Having said that, if they land Kroos, Paul Pogba will be sent packing the other way, so perhaps this is a more coherent and forensic rebuilding strategy than it appears at first glance after all.
Can't say I'm particularly inspired by any of them tbh, just get 2 or 3 in and let's crack on to the next window.

Seen a fair bit of Tom Cobley. Looks decent.
