He is playing as we should expect him to play. Carry this on for another year or so, and some of us *might* be ready to forgive him.

No longer expected to shoulder the creative expectation for the whole team the whole time, nor only seeing an abundance of shit@#%&!s hiding from the ball when he looks up to play a pass and low and behold, he looks happier

for the first time in years i can bring myself to say i'm happy with our midfield. pogba has really stepped it up of late and i hope he keeps going because we all know that on his day he is some player. nothing more needs to be said about bruno, and if we can get a couple more years out of this version of matic then we're laughing. there are some areas of our team that need upgrading but on current form the midfield shouldn't be a priority.

Bin Pereira and Lingard and replace them with 2 young midfielders that can offer variety/an option for when its not working for Pogba and Fernandes or they’re missing and we’re talking.

Then bin Mata and add 2 forwards and we will be cooking

Would only need a solid CB and a fullback then

So just Jones, Rojo, Smalling, Bailly, Dalot, TFM, Pereira, Lingard, Sanchez and Mata to ditch and replace. If you moved those 10 on and brought in 4 or 5 we’d be absolutely laughing imo. Another season out of Matic, used sparingly.

Was wondering about West Ham’s potential relegation and Declan Rice earlier, is he actually any good?

Our first choice midfield looks tidy. However, we're a couple of suspensions/injuries away from having Pereira and Fred and The Scottish Player in there, which doesn't exactly fill you with confidence.

He is on a different level. Scary thing is there is more to come. When he plays deeper especially in games against lesser opposition he is strong in there but can start moves and join the attack. Good balance between him, Fernandes and Matic.

Fit and fully focused, then he brings so much to us. I don't think anyone argues his quality.

However.... I think we should tread with caution.

Does anyone have any real faith that he won't creep into bad habits once the initial buzz of returning to football wears off?

I'm happy to enjoy it while it lasts, but I'm not convinced he'll be here for the long haul.

Tremendous player when he fancies it. Really done well last couple of games.

As soon as he has a bad game though the media and our own support will turn on him.

they're not bad as far as back up options go to be fair.

True but that's not going to be good enough to compete with City and Liverpool, which is what we're aiming for surely?

Liverpool are bringing Fabinho or Keita off the bench and City have Bernado Silva and Rodri waiting to replace Gundogan and De Bruyne at any given moment.

Remember the Top Reds demanding he be put in the reserves and then sold whilst The Scottish Player, Fred and Pereira stank it up.

Jem was definitely one of them.

A Jem midfield without Matic?

No chance.

Thumbs up

Nice breakdown of how balanced the United midfield is now, and how well Pogba fits into Ole's vision.

Was abundantly clear that he was having to do too much previously, but is now shining alongside Bruno and Matic. #Pogintegral

Insane that fans would prefer to have players that want to play for the club over players who have repeatedly made it known that they want to leave. It’s really difficult to fathom out the logic with some people.

And what’s more, those same fans are suggesting that the money received from the pog sale could then used to buy players like Bruno who actually want to play for the club. I mean, wtf?

Some of those same fans are even suggesting that Bruno was bought in the expectation that pogba would be leaving, or at least an insurance policy if he did. #@&%!s.

Also, they’re suggesting the only reason pogba hasn’t left is that no club has the money (especially now) or is prepared to take on the hassle of a under performing arrogant @#%&! with a stratospheric ego and a @#%&! of an agent. That he’s only putting in a shift now because he has literally no other options.

You were wrong, pal. It's being proven by Pogba every week now, which must be killing you.

Take your L and stick to telling us 'riveting' stories about how you once changed shorts at Old Trafford.
