Biggest choice of his career so far. City aside any club other than us at this point would be a huge mistake.

Absolute nightmare scenario for Levy right now with Spurs potentially not getting into the CL.

He can't attract a top new manager without it, can't say whether Kane will stay without CL & potentially he just wants to leave now regardless given the state of Spurs in general.

Managing Director Paratici banned & has had to resign.

Expensive players looking like complete shit:

Pedro Porro, Romero & Sanchez are all ~£40m signings

I'd laugh more but most of our signings at that level are equally shit tbh.

Naglesmann looks like the man. £#%&!ed Chelsea off and fancies Spurs.

I’d say that’s a risk on his part.

I wonder if Kane has a clause in his contract if they don’t get CL football.

Owner and Levy resembling the Glazer/Woodward pairing. Lot of similarities, dare we say.

“Tough negotiator” Levy has done £#%&! all but enhance their “it's Spurs” legacy bestowed on them by Ferie.

Club with potential still going nowhere

Wouldn’t mind Kane but Levy can £#%&! off if he’s playing his usual shit

Chelsea will come with the requirement for immediate success, it's a mess.

Spurs, if the walking fashion mess has pitched it correctly, could be a legitimate 3 season work in progress*. Spurs never win anything, they need to simply accept that a proper manager will have a plan & back him - their problem was not involving the manager in the recruitment process. Selling Kane to the highest bidder & having a longer term vision now is surely their best pathway to whatever success they think they can get. Certainly the stadium situation helps them.

*Kind of what Roma have done with Mourinho btw - bit of the old switcheroo from Jose there, he even won them (the shittest) trophy in their first year & looks like taking them to the Europa final this year.

His agent brother is even more dense than Kane is. It’s a miracle he managed to negotiate a salary.

He’s probably wrangled it so Kane has to pay them if there’s no CL

Spurs releasing a statement (rather odd for just media rumours tbh) saying that Harry Kane isn't for sale and that he would have to initiate an exit rather than them just selling him.

He needs to go for it if he wants to win something before he’s too old. Now or never.

This. We've gone for this profile so often in the last 10 years and it just doesn't work for us.

For example ..?

Take Rashford out the equation (who does not play in his position, and would benefit from Kane's style), and he's got more or less the same number of league goals as the rest of the squad put together. Absolute no brainer if available.

*sigh*

Falcao, Schweinsteiger, Sanchez, Matic etc. honestly bored of typing all the names out. Even the ones that have done alright have been one season wonders.

Late 20’s, early 30’s, big careers elsewhere in terms of reputation at the very least, bringing them in to perform straight away..

United make superstars, we don’t buy them.

Lazy, lazy comparisons ..

Falcao had played 20 league games in 2 years before joining after his injury .. 10 league goals in 2 years during that time.

Matic totally different style of play and position, also visibly on wane

Sanchez also injury prone by that point, was wretched for Arsenal in the period immediately before joining ..

The only vaguely reasonable comparison to a 29 year old striker who'll get close to 30 league goals before end of season on his best goalscoring season in 5 years is RVP

We bought a superstar in the summer and he’s been £#%&!ing brilliant for us

Very, very lazy comparing him to £#%&!ing Schweinsteiger and Falcao ffs. He’s scored 24 league goals this season in an awful spurs side.

And he was done inside 6 months. Thanks for proving my point.

Kane isn't going into a side ready to win the league, far from it. We'd be replacing him before we're genuine challengers again.

Still unsure where this idea that Kane is going to decline immediately upon arrival comes from tbh. He’s not reliant on pace. He’s a clinical goal scorer who works hard - think more Lewandowski than Aubameyang. He’ll be banging goals in for another 4-5 years.
