Its not significant news, he isnt registered to any club now hence he can train with us and play friendlies.

And its likely he'll be cleared ahead of Sundays game so i wouldnt worry.

Technically he's a free agent, so yes. I don't know if he will though.

Calm down ffs.
Fergie and United are always cagey about transfers and don't like to speak out unless it's a done deal. In the last week or so Fergie has been saying he'll play tomorrow, he's had a medical and they've been open about him training with them.

He's being treated like he's our player.

I'm sure they wouldn't do that unless he was our player.
Nor would they sell Smith and Rossi.

Re Mascherano, the 2 week delay was to do with them going over all documents to ensure it's legality and that there was no 'relationship' a la the one at West Ham prior to him having his registration torn up.

Don't worry. Deep breaths etc etc...

Exactly what I was thinking! The Premier League have been kept up to date with every stage of the MSI/WH negotiations and have seen the agreement United have with MSI, so what the £#%&! is taking so long?

by the way, it was FIFA that delayed the Mascherano deal as he had already played for 2 clubs in a season. nothing to do with the PL.

how many documents do they have to go through anyway?

about 3 pages would be my guess.

the whole thing is a joke!

nft.

In liverpools favour, no doubt. Who the £#%&! are they to decide who we can and cannot sell him too anyway? Seeing as the @#%&!s under contract, I say we loan him out to Antwerp for the next two seasons!

The League should be glad this hasn't been dragged through the courts, with their £#%&!witry and corruption being revealed to all.

As I said, @#%&!s!

Manchester United remain hopeful that Carlos Tevez’s signing will be completed before the weekend despite failing to finalise the deal today.<QA1>
The Premier League only began looking at the paperwork surrounding signing
today because they had to wait until Tevez’s agent Kia Joorabchian had paid West Ham the 2million settlement agreed last week.

That money arrived in West Ham’s bank account today and, with Tevez formally released from his contract and his registration made available, United were able to put forward their proposed two-year loan deal for the Argentina striker to the Premier League.
The league’s lawyers are now looking through the details of the deal - and
given the history surrounding the player will be sure to go through every clause closely.

Given that Tevez’s fellow Argentina international Javier Mascherano was given
the go-ahead for a similar signing for Liverpool last season, there should be
time for United to receive clearance before they kick off the new season this
weekend.

Sir Alex Ferguson had hoped to play Tevez in Wednesday night's friendly at Dunfermline but that now looks unlikely....
