Frightening how far behind we are.

Woodward talks about how United should be the bigger than the clubs in Spain but we look very small time in comparison when it comes to transfers.

Hopefully the bubble bursts in Spain and the individual TV rights are scrapped. Otherwise we'll be left with all the scraps that neither Madrid or Barca wanted.

Should bring in a transfer/wage cap. That is just about within reach of united but too high for the bottom 15 of course.

interesting who will be out of the door now. Di Maria, Isco, khedira.... ideally they would want to sell isco but neither the players wants to leave nor fans want him to leave.

Not many suitors for di maria because of the price, reports in france claiming that PSG have backed out now and are focussing on defenders.

I'm not bemoaning their right to spend this money. Just gutted we don't get to see these players in the premier league.

It's funny how quickly £300k a week will change someone's mind.

Loan move being mooted to circumvent FFP.

If I remember rightly he said it much before the real move being discussed. He doesn't like the physicality of premier league. wimp

apparently city enquired for Isco (again) and were rejected by real

Agreed. United have fallen away badly thanks to Moyes and Frogson.

Pleased for Hames. Superb talent who should be playing at a prestigious club, not in front of a couple of thousands #@&%!s in Monaco.

The talent on show in the upcoming Clasicos is ridiculous.

The divs were obsessed with him before he went to Madrid. I'd imagine him going there

It's not money anymore, just where the players are from. Future Asian or African or North American "superstars" will choose England over Spain .

Like a child wanting a shiny new toy. Ridiculous club, 1 CL final in 10 years despite outspending every club in the world. Forget about stability, just buy the player who is getting the most attention and worry about building the team later.

Very little to admire about what they do, they will probably sell off a portacabin to the Spanish government for half a billion to keep the circus going.
