chelsea, city and psg are funded by criminals and countries so they can afford a bidding war without fear of uefa sanctions or investigations

don't see him going to chelsea given the 15 forwards already on their roster

this guy will be the biggest transfer of the summer and whoever gets him will be favorites to win the champions league

Well he’s at a half decent team now and they’re not winning any league. Lewandowski is knocking more in. Whereas Ronaldo and Messi will score more no matter who they play for. And still not win a league this season.

I see what you’re saying though. An already decent team that needs the goals he would provide, could put them in contention.

Thing is, Sparky is a positive optimist these days when compared to certain of our regulars.

Do people just expect us to blow the likes of city, PSG, Madrid out of the water financially?

Even if we could compete financially (which we can't) there is a misguided exceptionalism amongst many fans which makes them think we are more attractive than Madrid, PSG, City etc.

It isn't the late 90's or early 00's anymore and most players couldn't give a shit about much of the stuff we think of as a huge draw.

we have no chance of being able to compete with City and PSG financially because of how they are backed by an Oil country

what we have to do is be able to show a sporting direction along with use the tradition and history of the club to attract top players

it certainly will help once we get OT full with 75K supporters in the stands

Barca I am sure they're still paying for Coutinho and Suarez. The £#%&!ing flex Madrid and Barca get is unbelievable.

Not to mention the money £#%&!ed on Dembele and Griezmann. They may as well throw another 150m in and hope it lands this time.

Again, not arsed. One huge money signing won’t make us champions.

If Messi is definitely leaving then it’ll be funny watching them struggle even more next season regardless of whether or not they sign Haaland. He’ll hate it.
