rafael was fouled blatantly for a United penalty as well I'm pretty sure. looked like the defender went straight through him, anyway. Course, Ferguson had been banging on about Ashley Young's diving by then for no apparent reason whereas in th epast he'd have ignored the whole £#%&!ing media charade.

Between just before Xmas and the Ajax away game United were pretty £#%&!ing good last season. From pre-season through to probably Basel at home they were brilliant. And in the run-in they played some cracking football as well.

But overall it was depressing how flat they were the rest of the time, how uninspired they were and how uninspiring team selections were for us, and most of all how £#%&!ing spineless they were at times.

It's wrong to say that United were shit all the time. It's wrong to say the squad is shit. And it's wrong to say a huge clear out is needed. But we need inspiring again. And physically and mentally the team clearly does have some big issues bebe. I'd like a new tactical approach as well but that's probably the least of Ferguson's worries.
