He saw a gap in the market for talking shit to clueless internet football fans (probably why he targeted fred first) and identified united as having more suckers than anybody. Since his initial brainwave he has pretended to be a) famous, and b) a united fan and he is now both. Or neither. He was trying to be a serious pundit when he was on here. It was his Soccerbox phase.

Obviously the Soshul Meeja bandwagon jumpers embraced his Partidgeism and he’s played up to it, but for hardcore fans the Soccerbox era will always be the definitive Goldbridge.
