Someone needs to ask the dull @#%&! why he has accountants making football decisions, does he not realise that if we had someone like Edwin at the club making all decisions on recruitment and football that they would save themselves a shit load of money on transfers etc we’ve wasted hundreds of millions on managers and players over the years on top of giving average players ridiculous wages, I though these were clever business men

Birds of a feather unfortunately. Probably seen the Brentford experiment and Ed claimed that he could do it, "how hard could it be", etc.

I'd have been all for splitting the two sides of the business and Woodward heads up the commercial side, all of which funds the football side - tea, training facilities, OT, etc. Obviously there would be overlap, but that's easy enough to resolve. Edwin could then be given an overall operating budget and him and Ole can prioritise staff, ground and facilities accordingly. All sounds far too simple.

If VDS cares about his reputation, he’d stay clear if United while the Glazers are in charge. He’s probably smart enough to realise that.

It’s taken the owners 16 years, sponsorship deals to be binned and the biggest game of the season to be cancelled before they wanted to communicate with the fans. There’s dividends being taken and a huge on the club.. imagine trying to operate the football side of the biggest club in the country while this is happening.
