What a fall from Grace. That Piers Morgan interview looks even more embarrassing now.

Tbf it was obvious that he was a #@&%! well before this. But this is admittedly next level #@&%!ery.

Pele played for the new york cosmos. It's not that big a deal. Ronaldo was an amazing player. He was finished at Juve though.

He was an absolute monster at Real.

start reading this thread from back of last season.

a few of us have been saying this. He isn’t good enough and tbh wasn’t good enough last season, it was being masked to some by his goals.

just look at the “magnificent bastard” playing in Saudi Arabia ffs.

indeed. nothing wrong with him going out there to earn a massive payday.

it’s his stropping at united when he couldn’t compete at the highest level and demanding a transfer/causing major disruption that is sad

Pretty clear when he did that interview it was with the confidence he would go to the World Cup and have a successful tournament. Which in turn would have convinced UCL clubs who had doubts about signing him to offer a contract. The World Cup didn't work out for him and with Fernando Santos dropping him to the bench also the only person who was vindicated was Ten Hag.

Think of the money he saved the club by leaving so we could secure a striker this window.

Didn't specify what year either. Won't be 2023 as his new team didn't qualify

Pele didn’t shred his legacy in doing so. He was all done and joined the likes of Best, Cruyff, Moore and loads of others who had quite obviously ended their careers, and went to America to pay their 3 bed semi off.

Doubt they we’re still counting the goals scored.

Still boiling piss of those who couldn’t care less about him

Stadium is about five minutes from my new office so will probably end up making friends with him.

This.

No begrudges him getting paid £350m over two years. But don't go on Piers Morgan and bullshit about playing at the top level...

He wanted the move to Saudi but the club didn't wanna pay a fee on top of the wages so he forced it to happen...

Rumours Ramos will join him next...

He could have done something positive I guess rather than something that is purely financial and also ethically questionable (given his leanings).

I mean what’s he currently worth? Isn’t he a billionaire already? He could have gone back to Sporting and helped the club that started his career.

Obviously, a naive thought when people are so driven by extreme wealth.
