Not sure why people feel his wages are relevant. The guy is a billionaire, so will be more than happy to take a salary drop.

He wants to break scoring records, win trophies, and cement his legacy as the greatest player of all time.

Chasing overhit through-balls from McFred in the Europa League isn't gonna do it for him.

We've let him down big time, given the omnishambles the club has been since Ole left.

Which is, presumably, why we’re trying to change things. Look at how many new faces we have in such a short period of time. He either wants to be part of dragging us back up or he doesn’t. The answer will indicate whether he really loves United as much as he says he does.

yeah we’ve only been in disarray SINCE Watford whacked us 4-1 a few weeks after Liverpool utterly humiliated us at Old Trafford.

Sad to see people like eriksen and de Jong love united more than ronaldo.

But he wants an extra 3 champions’ league goals next to his name. It’s very, very important. More important than the club he claims to love, the ex manager he claimed to be coming back for, and the millions of fans wordwide.

However, I do wonder if ten hag has told him to £#%&! off. The lack of any replacement signing sort of spoils that thought.

Maybe giving them ten seconds at the end of a match might be a good start.

The elephant in the room that the anti-Ole crew refuse to acknowledge is how that 'Der Gaffer' Rangnick guy took us BACKWARDS.

We likely would have finished top 4 if Ole stayed the season, and Ronaldo would be looking forward to another Champions League campaign.

It would be a mistake for him to go to Chelsea. Utterly pointless and would really f*** up his legacy IMO.

Even the English media and pundits who hate united were in love with the romanticism of him coming back to united for fergie. An actual bit of humanity to top off his story. Staying to lead ten hag’s rebuild back to the top is the best way to end his top level career. Scoring the winner in a cup final for United beats anything he could do elsewhere. If they ever make a film about his life, that’s the ending any Hollywood producer would want, not joining some club to score a few extra goals in a selfish, self centred gesture.

Playing for another English club is just a bad idea. Shitting on united and fergie because he’s more concerned with adding a few extra goals to an already untouchable champions’ league record just doesn’t reflect that well upon him.

Of course, there’s also the possibility it’s ten hag pushing him out the door. But having no real striking replacement with preseason prep about to start probably stops that idea.

We don’t know.

Tbh, if ten hag actually wants ronaldo to stay and isn’t able to talk him around and get him stirred up for staying, he’s a shit manager. And I don’t think he’s a shit manager.

If ronaldo leaves, it’s because ten hag is happy for him to do so. And he’ll have known about it for a while.

I think ole managed us for more games than that.

It’s the manager and club that need to act like they mean it, not fans.

Wonder what we'll get. Probably closer to 10 than 20 I'd guess.

I knew "it was Chelsea"

Bayern never made sense as it's not the sort of signing they ever make and as for the link to Napoli

If Boehly on behalf of Chelsea, is talking to Mendes as Ronaldos representative, is this not tapping up?

Yank owner after a statement of intent?

Still can’t see it, we owe them for Matic and Mata though, nqat.

If not there, where? If he’s after a trophy or 2 and a pop at the CL his options are very limited.

Na...

He's talking to one of the most influential agents in the world and has probably just asked if there is any chance of us selling him...

I think he's ok just playing/scoring in the cl for consecutive seasons,

Quote:
Three players have scored in 14 consecutive Champions League seasons:

Raul scored from 1997–98 to 2010–11, for Real Madrid and Schalke 04.

Karim Benzema scored from 2005–06 to 2018–19, for Lyon and Real Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored from 2006–07 to 2019–20, for Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus.

Ryan Giggs is the only player to score in 16 Champions League seasons, scoring in 1994–95, 1996–97 to 2006–07 and 2008–09 to 2011–12, all for Manchester United.
Probably hoping Benzema dies in a car crash or is jailed so he can be the record holder.

It's his mother's wish isn't it? For him to return there before he retires.

Didn’t he say he’d like to finish his career there?

Maybe we could get first dibs on a couple of their young prospects…

Have they got any worth getting?
