More likely to go to the highest ranked team eliminated at the latest stage, that way it preserves the country-by-country limits? So, if Arsenal go out tonight it might mean they still go through, or if they go through it could go to the loser in the FC Twente/Benfica tie. Otherwise, a number of teams who have pre-qualified all the way to this stage, but gone out, would want to know why Liverpool have short-cutted their way through?
