The ball seemed to be in the air for an eternity as it was dropping towards him, seeing him shape to strike it I think I shouted “oh £#%&! off!!!” out of sheer incredulity

All very underwhelming. Take the Newcastle and THAT goal out and the memory holds very little gold..

He replaced Cantona. They were some boots to fill to be fair.

Think that was a later campaign tbh, his very first game for us (Shield excepted) saw him miss a penalty - at Spurs

It did, seem to remember him doing alright from then on though. A brace at Arsenal was him in top form, went downhill second half of the season.
