Pretty much is in this instance tbf. Zidane left because the President wouldn't sell Bale. He hates him for some reason..

Again, Zidane has ostracised him. He’s played 200 minutes since lockdown and barely played before, he’s just filling his time. He tried to leave and Madrid blocked it. He’s kept quiet, still training etc. Not sure what else he can do

Same thing is happening with James Rodriguez. He asked to be left out of the travelling squad for Bilbao (I think) for the same reason Bale did; he wasn’t being considered and Zidane told him as much.

Both probably cited unnecessary travel during COVID
