Default AWB back to Palace?

Palace doing that thing where you put spider outside and it just come straight back in the house.

£40m loss. I’ll take it 👍

£10m more than he's worth

Absolute disgusting signing. Not sure who's responsible - whether it was ole, the scouting department, woodward - but whoever it is needs a shoeing.

Genuinely one of the thickest footballers i've ever seen.

I was wondering why they'd want him back, but then I saw Nathaniel Clyne playing right back for them on Monday.

Think we'd be better served loaning him rather than taking £10m now. Think we'd get more next summer as he'll be decent for them again IMO.

He’s a decent mid-level premier league defender, but clearly not but good enough at the highest level. Will do well there imo, £10m is a stupidly low fee

So get rid of one of the few players at the club that can actually tackle when we’ve utterly disintegrated defensively? Not sure I see that logic.

AWB failings well known. Also well known that everyone to a man was on the hype train for how good the defence was going to be headed into last season, and he was unanimous starter in everyone’s teams.

Highest number of tackles in the league in ‘20. 24 year old who’d be in England squad if not for James / Trent. Worse than Dalot? Please. 10 mil would be mental.

I don’t rate him but he is worth £30m easily in today’s market.
He isn’t shit defensively and in a team that play on the back foot he would be very useful.

Anyone saying sell him for £10m at his ages is

Agreed. He's actually very solid defensively. Can't think of many occasions where he's been consistently beaten by an opponent in a 1-on-1.

He gets loads of criticism for his attacking play, but not every side needs marauding full-backs that create loads of chances.

Given his age, and the fact he's got solid Premier League experience, £10m is an insulting fee.

He’s solid in one on ones, but his positional sense is woeful. He’s a good tackler, but isn’t a good defender overall. His lack of ability in the final third destroys our right hand side too.

Let’s not rewrite history. He was awful and lost his place to someone who is also shit, but still better than him.

If you’re going to play 4 or more from Ronaldo/Rashford/Sancho/Eriksen/Bruno as he seems set on so far, then attacking full backs are decidedly the opposite of what you want in the team.

Keep lining up with 4 or more of those and Dalot for protection behind them and May as well commit ritual hari kari while giving the Points over at the start of each game.

Agreed. Worth AT LEAST double that and then some.

Tell them to £#%&! off.

You have to factor in the wage he is on at United. It reduces his market value.

no one is saying he is great or rewriting history but he is a decent rb.

top teams in this era need attacking fullbacks as teams just set up to be broken down but in team like Everton or wolves he would be a big asset to them.

10m is what you pay for a player like Chong. Because he is young , inexperienced and no guarantee he will even be any good.

The fact he is unwanted and not rated by us makes him look like bullshit but he isn’t.

so, we should use him as a mtm marker.

he's an unaware clown, but he's still worth more than £10mio. or he was never worth more than £10mio.

This. Just to match his current wage he'd be one of their highest paid players.

£10m is still taking the piss though.

I’m sure nobody thinks he’s great, but as soon as there a rumour he’s off, all of a sudden people start pointing out his plus points.

Let’s have it right, he’s been a disaster and he’s high on the list of people we need out the door. £10m is too low, agreed.

One of our worst ever right backs...his positional sense whilst defending is diabolical, cost us European football ..

Shite going forward also ...

If last ditch tackles are your strong point, enjoy Carlisle United or something.
