Saw a youngster today with one on and a green & gold scarf. His dad also had a green & gold scarf. They both had megastore bags.

Does it matter what shape or form the green and gold takes? More kids would wear jester hats than scarves, and as long as it's filling the crowd with more g and g than red, that's ok isn't it?

but the chances are most people wearing g&g now have no idea why. it has completely voided what it stood for imo.

I can understand why it miffs you - but the point is it gets seen - like with the beckham pic, even if he had nfi what it was about - it spreads the image.

Can't wait to see somebody use a Megastore bag instead of a G&G Scarf soon.

Everybody knows what the green and gold campaign is about - it's been widely reported in the national media for several weeks already, and in fact across the world. The point that these people are missing is: they are still buying from the megastore.

As mentioned above surely it's best that as many people as possible wear the g&g during matches, whatever guise they take

There's a good chance that most of them bought them long before the green & gold campaign started.

Utter %@#$&!s.

You've done nothing but whinge about G&G from the minute the idea was mentioned.

Incidentally, I know you stopped going some time ago, how long did you actually watch United for before you gave up?

Not at all.

The whole G&G idea was meant as a visual marker. Something that could not be ignored and would draw attention to the protest. The idea was it was something everyone could join in with, whether you still go to games, buy shirts, drink Budweiser or eat the pies you could still wear the G&G.

It is getting a lot of press coverage and that will start to spread true meaning. I'd say it's been a highly effective campaign.

yep, let's give up then shall we. cos all those people have been interviewed as well haven't they? and confirmed that they couldn't give a shit.

or not.

correct. the pictures of him picking it up and putting it on will last far longer than the interview he did where he 'kind of' distanced himself from knowing exactly what it meant.
